I started out producing in dusty garages and bedroom setups back in my hometown of San Diego — no fancy studio, no label connections.

But over time, with the right strategy, some hard lessons, and a lot of prayer, I built a multiple six-figure production business. I’ve written with, produced, and mixed for Grammy + Dove Award winners, indie artists, and even collaborated with musicians I once only dreamed of working with.

  • I’ve asked myself this same question over the past few years as AI has advanced. It’s improving rapidly, and in many ways, we’re just at the beginning.
    But ultimately, I’ve chosen not to worry—for three big reasons:

    1. Quality & Heart
    AI isn’t even close to replacing human producers. I’ve tested its limits, and while it can mimic emotion and create polished sounds, it lacks the ability to truly capture an artist’s heart. I spend my days with artists and songwriters, helping them express what’s inside them—and AI simply can’t do that.

    2. Human Intuition
    AI might produce a “perfect” sound, but perfection isn’t the goal of great music. As producers, our job is to trust our instincts and draw out something human, raw, and real. AI can guess, but it can’t feel an original moment the way a human can. Every decision I make in the studio is guided by my gut, not an algorithm.

    3. True Collaboration
    AI runs on prompts and patterns—it predicts. But the magic of music comes from two (or more) people bouncing ideas, reacting emotionally, and pushing each other toward something unexpected. That kind of relational creativity is irreplaceable.

    For these reasons, I believe producers will always play a vital role—not just in shaping songs, but in helping artists capture and share the heart of their message.
